The Transfer Station Committee was established in August 2003 to determine the temporary (during construction of a new highway garage) and long-term alternatives for meeting the Town’s solid waste and recycling needs. The committee is now looking for a possible site for a permanent transfer station location with an eye to a state-of-the-art facility that would be open more than the present two and one-half hours on Sunday mornings and would be less costly than our present operation. Our seven member committee meets monthly on the first Wednesday of each month
at 10:00 am at the Fire House and the public is welcome.
