Chase Beach:
This year lifeguards will be on duty starting mid-June through mid- August each year. Lifeguards will be on duty from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, 7 days per week.
Chase Beach Rules:
· No alcohol.
· No domestic animals.
· No floatation devices.
· No diving off docks.
· No fishing.
· No climbing on life guard stand.
· No rough play.
· No swimming in or out of the ropes.
· You must be able to swim to go beyond first rope.
· All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
· No bare bottoms or disposable diapers.
· No overnight camping.
· No fires of any kind except fires in a fireplace or raised barbecue grill after a permit is obtained from Town Forest Fire Warden.
· No boating within 25 feet of the designated swimming area. Boats may not come ashore on or be launched from Chase Beach.
· Chase Beach is for Lyme residents and their guests only. All cars must have a Lyme resident sticker in view.
· Guests must check in with the life guards. Please remember to go to the life guards to obtain a day pass. This pass should be put in the back window of your car.
· Groups (15 or more people) wishing to use the facilities must obtain written permission from the Selectmen.
· Life guards will be treated respectfully and have the authority to refuse the use of the beach to anyone disobeying the rules.

Pond Program (Day Camp):
The Pond Program will take place the first three weeks of July, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. The cost is $50 per week, per child, with scholarships available. Arts & Crafts, Sports and Swimming Lessons. This program is for children entering kindergarten through 5th grade. All other children entering 6th – 8th grade can be Jr. or Sr. councilors depending on their age (14 and up are considered Sr. counselors and may get paid). Pilates, Tai Chi and Yoga:
Pilates classes are held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Academy Building. Contact Kathy Shiffman for additional information.
Tai Chi classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Academy Building. Contact Kathy Larson for additional information.
Yoga classes are held on Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Academy Building. Contact Susan Kirincich for additional information.
Adult Softball:
Lyme has two teams that play in a slow pitch softball league. The games are played on Wednesday and Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. For additional information: contact Cole Cutting or Donald Cutting (“Lyme Green” team) or John Paul Barker (“Lyme Pirates” team).
Adult Tennis:
Women’s open tennis will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Chase Beach tennis courts. Contact Darlene Lehmann for additional information.
Youth Basketball:
There will be a one week summer basketball camp for girls in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades between July 25th and 29th. There is a fee of $25 with scholarships available. Contact Peter McGowan for additional information.
Youth Soccer:
Play Soccer camps will be held in Lyme for youth in grades 1 through 8. A four day camp will be held July 5th through 8th and a five day camp August 8th through 12th. The fee is $100 for the four day camp and $125 for the five day camp with scholarships available. Contact the Recreation Director for additional information and application forms.
