Lyme’s Zoning Board of Adjustment is made up of 5 regular members and 3 alternates who are appointed by the Board of Selectmen or by the Planning Board. They conduct public hearings to decide on applications for administrative appeals, special exceptions, and variances to the Zoning Ordinance. The hearings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Town Offices. Meeting agendas are posted in the Valley News, at the Town Offices, Nichols Hardware, and the Lyme Center Post Office at least five days before each hearing. Matters to be brought to
the Board should be discussed with the Planning and Zoning Administrator.
