MINUTES
July 18, 2005
Present: Tina Cullenberg, Denis Kelemen, Claudia Kern, Carola Lea, Sue Mackenzie, John Stadler
Minutes of the June meeting were approved by email.
1. Telephone call with PSNH representative Jack Schelling- John
-PSNH would donate bulbs for suit case of samples
-would donate 200 catalogue (at least)
-would lend demonstration meter socket
- 4:1 ratio fluorescent to incandescent wattage ratio
-John to ask about dimmable lighting
-John to ask about options for responsible disposal of fluorescent bulbs
-Claudia to call Bob Walker about what bulbs to order for suitcase
-Carola to inquire at the transfer station about responsible disposal of flourescent bulbs
2. Report for Flea Market table September 24- Sue
–brought copies of Energy Star information downloaded from web site
-other catalogues brought for review included Real Goods, Harmony
-should include Energy Box for check out from library
-NH Saves for both PSNH and NH Electric Coop
-comparison of wattage for fluorescent vs. incandescent
-should include demonstration meter from PSNH
-coupon from Home Depot for bulbs good until December 31
3. Denis presented a proposed letter to the Appalachian Trail Conference suggesting a move of the wind turbine from Lyme Elementary School to Smarts Mt.
–approved by consensus and Denis will send it
–Frank, according to Denis, is also interested in supporting instrumentation on his own property and data to be made available to the school.
The meeting was closed at 8:30.
Next meeting scheduled is August 15, 2005.
