Newsletter entry
Bill talked about attending a Disaster Committee meeting. He said that the committee is compiling a list of past disasters. We decided to print in the newsletter a list of past disasters and request additions.
Jack Wright Prize
Chelsea spoke to Mr. Dayno (Lyme School 4th grade teacher). He suggested, because of curriculum plans, that the prize be presented to an 8th grade student (with the 4th grade plan, the students will work in a way that would make it difficult to focus on an individual student’s work; that focus is more possible with the 8th grade social studies’ work, though the subject matter is less obviously Lyme related).
Perhaps the prize could be for an extra credit 8th grade project.
Chelsea and Bill will talk, and then Chelsea will talk to Mr. Dayno.
By-laws
Various changes were made. Bill will retype the by-laws and email them
Bill will mail by-laws to Doug Wise who is head of the nominating committee
We will put the new by-laws in the newsletter and vote on them at the Annual Meeting.
Carola was added to the Nominating Committee, as a Steering Committee member
