Minutes for June 8, 2008
1. The recessed meeting of the Board of Selectmen reconvened at 8:22 AM at the Highway Garage with the following attending all or part of the meeting: Simon Carr (chair), Charles Ragan (member), Dan Quinn (transfer station supervisor) and Jedidiah Smith.
2. Charles reported that Don Elder has requested to use highway sand (rather than purchasing beach sand) around the Academy Building swings. Fred has agreed and the Board approved the request.
3. Dick reported that he had talked to Dan about inviting Orford residents to participate in the Sunday June 29th electronics recycling at the Transfer Station. The Board agreed to invite Orford to participate.
4. At 8:29 Dick moved and Simon seconded a motion to go into non-public session under the authority of RSA 91-A:3 II(c) – maters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person”. The motion carried unanimously.
5. The Board returned to public session at 8:42 having terminated Jedidiah Smith as a Town employee.
6. The meeting adjourned at 8:43.
