REVISED SCHEDULE FOR YEAR 2005 TOWN BUDGETS, TOWN REPORTS
AND BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The Budget Committee has a number of meetings scheduled to develop and review the town budget for the tax year 2005 and the school budget for the 2005-2006 school year. The meetings will be held in the Town Offices at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evenings. There have been three meeting date changes. The relevant deadlines and Budget Committee meetings are as follows:
Wednesday 12/1/2004 at 7:00 PM.
Work on the town budget.
Wednesday 12/8/2004 at 7:00 PM.
Work on the town budget.
Wednesday 12/15/2004 at 7:00 PM.
Work on the town budget. Department heads get chance to rebut proposed budget.
Friday 12/27/2004 at 12:30 PM.
Committees' and Departments' Annual Reports are due to be put in the Town Report.
Thursday 01/06/2005 at 7:00 PM.
School Board presents proposed budget to the Budget Committee.
Monday 01/10/2005 at 7:00 PM.
School Board presents proposed budget to the Budget Committee.
Wednesday 01/19/2005 at 7:00 PM.
First public hearing on Budget Committee’s proposed school and town budgets.
Wednesday 01/26/2005 at 7:00 PM.
Second public hearing on Budget Committee’s proposed school and town budgets (if necessary).
Tuesday 02/01/2005 at 5:00 PM.
Petitioned warrant articles for town warrant are due.
Wednesday 02/09/2005 at 7:00 PM.
Public hearing for Budget Committee to recommend warrant articles containing money.
Tuesday 03/01/2004 at 7:00 PM.
Little town meeting held at the Lyme School.
Tuesday 03/08/2005 at 9:00 AM.
