TRANSFER STATION SUPERVISOR
Wanted: Part-Time Level III “Advanced Operator” Transfer Station Supervisor, to be in charge of Lyme’s solid waste disposal & recycling transfer station. Recyclables & household trash are collected at Town Transfer Station on Sun. 8:30 AM-11:00 AM & Wed. 4PM – 6PM. Supervisor will have additional duties (e.g. cleaning site, paperwork, monitoring pulls) outside of public hours. Transfer station must be operated by Level III Advanced Operator.
Level III Advanced Operator must have:
HS diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years work experience
Must attend & pass a SOLID WASTE FACILITY OPERATOR TRAINING & CERTIFICATION PROGRAM held by the State of New Hampshire’s Waste Management Division of the NH Department of Environmental Services (DES), at regular intervals. If the applicant is not already certified, the Town will pay for the expenses related to taking the seminar & exam.
Position requires excellent communication skills, physical labor, organizational, & multi-tasking skills; & must possess self-discipline, & good judgment.
