Town of Lyme, NH - Budget Committee Member Needed

There is an opening on the Budget Committee. After 35 years on the Budget Committee, many of those years as Chair, Mike Smith resigned to pursue his new commitment to a nonprofit organization. The Budget Committee regretfully accepted his resignation and will miss his leadership and commitment. It does need another member to serve until March 2008 Town Meeting. At that time registered interested candidates may run for a one year term - the remainder of the unexpired term. The Budget Committee meets approximately 20 times per year. Please submit your resume and/or a letter of interest to the Selectmen’s Office by Friday, September 14, 2007, at 3:00 PM. The Budget Committee’s nomination subcommittee will be making its recommendations to the Budget Committee at its next meeting on Wednesday, October 3, 2007.
