**LITTLE TOWN MEETING will be held at the Lyme School on Tuesday March 4th beginning at 7:00 pm. This is your opportunity to meet the candidates (so if you’re a candidate, it’s a really good thing to come and introduce yourself and give a bit of explanation as to why you’d like to take on this task!). Warrant articles will be explained and questions will be addressed.
**SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING will be held at the Lyme School on Thursday March 6th beginning at 7:00 pm. This meeting is where the school budget is presented and discussed in detail, and then voted on. The outcome of the vote represents an important piece of your property tax bill. School District Elected Officials are voted by ballot on Tuesday March 11th.
**TOWN MEETING is Tuesday March 11th in the Lyme School. Voting on ballot articles two through nine will be from 7:00am until 7:00pm. The business meeting will begin at 9:00am. Important to remember-you must be at the meeting to vote on Article 10 (the bond vote for the proposed town offices)
Morning and noon snacks will be on sale as a fundraiser for the 8th grade class trip.
**If you become an elected official as the result of a Town Meeting Vote, please come to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than Friday March 21, 2008 to sign an Oath of Office. It is mandatory that this document is signed and filed before you take any official action (like vote) on the board/committee/position to which you’ve been elected.
**If you require an absentee ballot because of health or absence from town issues on March 11th, please contact the Clerk’s Office. 795-2535.
Also, Parking might be tricky with the snow, snow & more snow. Please park carefully, considerately and watch for pedestrians and kids. See you there!
