Voter Information

Infomercial for the November General Election:

**Election Date is November 8, 2016
**The November election is one ballot and does not involve party affiliations.
**Location where Lyme votes: Lyme School Community Gymnasium
**Polls are open: 7am to 7pm

**Requirements: You must present your photo ID. If you do not, and can’t be identified by a town clerk, Supervisor of the Checklist or Moderator, this becomes a Challenged Voter issue and you must follow the procedure as directed by the Moderator, including having your photograph taken, in order to vote.
**You may register to vote with the Town Clerk during office hours until October 29th.
**You may register to vote on election day. Please go to the Supervisor of the Checklist table before requesting your ballot from the Ballot Clerks. Be prepared to present your photo ID and confirmation of your Lyme address (utility bill or something similar.)

**Absentee ballots will be available beginning early October.  If you will be unable to vote in person on the day of the election due to absence from town or a health related issue, please contact the Clerk’s office to receive your absentee ballot. (note contact information below). The Clerk’s office will be open for absentee ballot activity on Monday November 7, 2016 from 3pm to 5pm.
**Absentee ballots must be returned to the Clerk no later than 5pm November 8. Prior to election day they  may be dropped off during office hours (M,W,F 8-2)
or mailed USPS. The mail will be checked for the last time to retrieve ballots at 5pm the day of the election. Ballots received after that time may not be cast or counted.
