Conservation Commission Members Wanted

Good afternoon,
As of the close of Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, March 13, the Conservation Commission will have an opening for a full voting member and two alternates.

The Commission meets once monthly on the first Monday of the month. Members help maintain the town's trail network and conserved lands. They also help stage annual nature-related events such as "Green Up Day," "Trails Day," February's snowshoe walk, bird watching outings and botanical studies among other activities.

I welcome any interested party to contact me to learn more about the responsibilities involved by serving on the Commission. No conservation-specific training or skill is necessary. A love of the outdoors and a desire to further the Town of Lyme's commitment to good stewardship of its abundant natural resources will be most welcome.

Sincerely,

Blake Allison, Chair
