This Saturday, July 7, join us for Lyme’s annual INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The fun starts at 3:00pm with Kids’ fun and games, a story-time with Judy Russell and the LYME TOWN BAND performing a special Bev Strout memorial concert.

At 4:00pm we’ll have a grand parade. Here’s your chance to show off those unicycle riding and fire juggling skills; or wheel by in that vintage auto you’ve been tinkering with all winter; or float by on a patriotic flat bed.

Right after the parade, Bill Murphy and Jay Davis will host patriotic speeches and songs.
Dinner starts at 5:30 and will continue to be served until everyone is fed. This year Chef Larry Reed and his young cohorts will serve up a wonderful cookout of burgers, dogs, grilled chicken, potato and other salads, gluten free pasta with beef bolognese, and more. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW at the Town Office or buy them on Saturday.
The Bill Ackerly Ice Cream Giveaway will make the kids and young at heart happy about dessert.
Live music will be provided by yours truly during the dinner hour and then…
At 6:30 THE DANCING GETS STARTED with Dan and the Dinosaurs, Maia Rutman, and Andy Davis of the New England Dancing Masters calling the steps.
