New Hampshire General Election November 3, 2026 7 am - 7 pm

November 2, 2026

Hi, Lymies!

This Tuesday, November 3, 2026 is the New Hampshire General Election. Lyme’s election will be held at the Lyme School Gymnasium (35 Union Street). The polls will open at 7 am and close at 7 pm. You can find a sample ballot here as well as at the school on Election Day.

If you are currently registered to vote in Lyme, you’ll need to bring photo identification to show to the ballot clerks in order to receive your ballot. If you aren’t yet registered to vote, you may register on Election Day. You will need to present proof of citizenship, identity, age, and domicile (those not in possession of proof of citizenship may fill out a qualified voter affidavit). For information on what documents you may use as proof, feel free to peruse the Secretary of State’s website here.

Monday, 11/2/26 is the last day to request an absentee ballot for the election. All requests made after 12 pm must be done in person. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open on Monday from 3 - 5 pm for any last minute absentee ballot activity. As a reminder, absentee ballots must be returned to the town clerk by 5 pm on Tuesday 11/3/26 in order to be counted. You may not bring your own absentee ballot to the polls; if you are returning your absentee ballot on Election Day, it must be delivered by the post office or a delivery agent. Absentee ballots will be counted at 2 pm on Election Day.

As always, give me a shout if you have any questions or concerns.

See ya at the polls!

Emily Shepard
