Zoning Board of Adjustment
The Zoning Board of Adjustment holds hearings on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Town Office/Police Station. Lyme’s Zoning Board of Adjustment is made up of 5 regular members and 3 alternates who are appointed by the Board of Selectmen or by the Planning Board. They conduct public hearings to decide on applications for administrative appeals, special exceptions, and variances to the Zoning Ordinance. Hearing Notices are posted in the Valley News, at the Town Office/Police Station, and on the Towns website at least five days before each hearing. Matters to be brought to the Board should be discussed with the Planning and Zoning Administrator. For a complete list of downlaodable forms and applications go to the Planning and Zoning Departmental Page.
