2026 Revaluation
The Town of Lyme has contracted with Avitar Associates to conduct the Town’s 2026 Full Statistical Revaluation Update, as required by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (DRA).\ \ The purpose of the 2026 Full Statistical Revaluation Update is to attempt to ensure that all property assessments are adjusted to reflect fair market value as of April 1, 2026, creating an equitable distribution of the property tax burden among taxpayers.\ \ During the revaluation process, Avitar’s assessors will review recent property sales and analyze local market trends to determine updated values. They will collect, verify and update data on all properties, perform a current sales analysis and update assessment values in an effort to approximate current fair market value on all properties.
Field review will begin on August 28th. You may notice a vehicle (labeled with “Avitar Associates”) on the road side. The assessors will be reviewing the property data, making sure your assessment reflects the correct data.
Following the field review, updated assessments will be availableand a notice will be sent out by Avitar giving residents who so desire the opportunity to schedule a hearing with the assessor.
