Lyme Electric Aggregation Committee

The Lyme Electric Aggregation Committee (LEAC) was established by the Select Board on September 1st, 2022 as provided by the New Hampshire community power aggregation law (RSA 53-E). The mission of LEAC was to investigate Community Power Aggregation for the Town of Lyme, present to the Select Board an Electrical Aggregation Plan, and seek approval for that plan at Town Meeting. This work culminated with the approval of the Lyme Electrical Aggregation Plan at Town Meeting in March of 2024.

Lyme Community Power launched in October of 2024 with the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire (CPCNH) as the qualified vendor and credit-worthy supplier to provide the services, credit support, and electricity required to launch and operate the program. Lyme Community Power is now the default supplier for electrical customers in Lyme unless the customer opts-out of the program or is currently receiving credit for power they are providing to the grid through a solar installation.

Customers who have questions about their bill or other concerns related to their electric supply should contact CPCNH by calling (866) 603-7697 (POWR), emailing info@CommunityPowerNH.gov, or visiting the Lyme Community Power website at: https://www.communitypowernh.gov/lyme

The Lyme Electric Aggregation Committee is proud to have effected this change for the Town of Lyme. Customers are now receiving the most cost-effective electric supply through a non-profit entity and have the choice to receive their supply from up to 100% renewable sources. This change empowers our community to make choices about our electric supply independent of the utilities and with an eye toward sustainability. And if the Town sees fit, the community power model will also allow us to develop electricity supply projects of our own. Forming Lyme Community Power is another step toward the Town’s goal of 100% reliance on clean, renewable sources of electricity by 2030.
