Notice of Public Hearing

The Lyme Conservation Commission has scheduled a Public Hearing for Monday, May 1 at 7:00 pm at The Lyme Center Academy Building to invite public comment on its plan to donate $9,587 from the Conservation Fund to cover The Town of Lyme’s share of costs associated with the 2017 Post Pond Eurasian Milfoil control program.

Under fund management policy established by the Conservation Commission at its June 2nd, 2014 meeting, up to 5% of the Conservation Fund’s balance may be used for non-easement purchase, conservation-related projects on an annual basis as long as the Fund balance is a minimum of $150,000. Those funds would be dispensed at the Commission’s discretion subject to a public hearing.

All interested parties are welcome to attend the hearing. It will be followed by the Commission’s regularly scheduled first Monday of the month meeting.
