New Footbridge!

In the center of the photo there's a walking bridge, surrouded by grass and trees.
Footbridge

A new footbridge crosses a perennially wet area on the Town Forest's Beaver Pond Trail thanks to the work of the Upper Valley Trails Alliance's High School Trails Corps. The footbridge is a few hundred yards in from the trail's Orfordville Road parking area. It is made from rough cut hemlock purchased from a White River Jct. saw mill. The new structure will allow hikers to cross this wet area ending the need to try and circumvent it which has done a lot of damage to the adjacent ground.

Next up? A new trailhead and stairs for the Big Rock Preserve's NH Route 10 entrance.
