Town Clerk Announcements

Happy Friday, All—I’m sharing some important information regarding office schedules and school/town meetings arrangements in the works.

-Monday January 18th -The Town Offices are closed.

-Tuesday January 19th -The Supervisors of the Checklist will accept additions and corrections to the voter checklist. Residents will meet with one Supervisor in the outer lobby of the Town Office from 7pm-7:30pm. Please bring a form of ID. Call the Town Clerk’s office with any questions. 795-2535.

-January 20th from 8am -29th to 5pm  during open office hours -Filing Period for School & Town Officials. To enable safe filings, a signed Declaration of Candidacy will be accepted via a scanned email to patty@lymenh.gov, a fax to 795-2117 or you may come to the Town Clerk’s office and file in person. Anyone filing on the last day of the Filing Period must file in person. Please watch for a complete listing of open positions and an example of the filing document in a separate email message.

-March 9-Voting by Official Ballot (town & school officers and zoning amendments) will be done in the school. Absentee ballot voting is encouraged under the present Covid restrictions. The absentee ballots should be available by February 12th. I’ll keep you posted on that. At this point it is anticipated that the deliberative meetings for both school and town meetings will not happen on March 9th. There will be messages posted on listserv and the www.lymenh.gov website to keep us updated with dates for these meetings at a time and place when they may be held safely. Please keep in mind that all arrangements are subject to change because of the Covid situation.
